About
Hi, I'm Celest Winfrey.
I started my journey into Midwifery in 2013 as a student at Nizhoni School of Midwifery in San Diego California. I finished didactic training in November of 2016. I became a Licensed Midwife and Certified Professional Midwife in 2018/2019.

I joined Family Centered Birth in August of 2016 and completed my apprenticeship with Kate Potthast. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science, I am a trained Postpartum Doula through CAPPA, and
became an IBCLC in 2010; I have been helping women with breastfeeding for over 10 years.
I work in several hospitals doing rounds in Postpartum, Labor and Delivery, and NICU providing lactation support when I am not attending to my clients and delivering babies. I also worked with WIC (Women Infant Children Program), taught support Peer Groups and have provided breastfeeding support to women and their babies in the Native American communities.
While working with women and babies in the hospital and in the various communities as well as after the birth of my own 3 children (Cameron, Caleb & Camille) I felt the call of midwifery on my life and I am very excited to assist women during their pregnancy, birth and postpartum.
